An Indiana House committee approved a bill this morning that would make it illegal for an adult to smoke in a vehicle when riding with a person under the age of 13.

More power to the Indiana House committee, I hope they pass it, and I hope the legislators up here in Canada take note and follow suit.

It is essentially child abuse to smoke in a car or a house with children present. Everyone knows the effects of second hand smoke are WORSE than if you had actually smoked the cigarette yourself. KUDOS to the Indiana House Committee!

I agree Cat, I think anyone who smokes around children should automatically be charged with child abuse. It pisses me off when you see a mother with a child or even worse a baby in a stroller puffing away. I just want to go up and ask them why they don't love their children and are killing them.

It's about time that they did this. I hope more states will follow this.
