Nothing Says Love Like a Toddler Snow Boot Shoved Up Your Nose

What: Suddenly awaken by sharp pain in the nose and the smell of rubber

Too funny,
but at some point during the night Circle Face put on her snow boots and came into my bedroom and proceeded to flop around enough until she kicked me in the nose with her boots. It felt wonderful of course. I jumped up ready to fight a burglar only to find CF laying there asleep with her head on the dog's butt and her feet approximately where my face used to be at. That little turkey is also a body heat thief.

Nothing Says 'Winner' Like ...

Blogging from the friendly neighborhood Panera.
This place is becoming a daily addiction. Love the black bean soup. At least the WiFi here is free. Starbucks, across the street, charges an arm and a leg per hour. I thought hourly internet fees went out of style about 1997?

Circle Face and
I had a wonderful weekend. We went apartment shopping and spent almost 3 hours at the 'Jump & Play'. She liked every apartment that we visited. She instantly assigned bedrooms. Of course she almost always assigned herself the master bedroom. Also, I'm realizing that my daughter is a chick magnet. Everywhere I go with her she gets so much attention. I swear the leasing consultant at one place yesterday dropped all the pre-move in fees, the security deposit, and the gave the rest of Dec and all of Jan free just because she was in love with my little mini-me. The lady that was there before us wasn't getting that deal anyway. There is such a wide range of 'niceness' around here in such a small price range. Basically every two bedroom on the west side runs from $600 to $715. In that range you can get in a nice trash lined ghetto or you can get into a a nice place with tanning booth, pool, theater, and 24 hr fitness center. I'd really like to be somewhere in the middle. I don't tan and I my company pays for my gym membership - wonder if I could a discount if I agreed to never use those amenities. Ha. Actually, what I really need to do is find some well off milf widow that owns some houses that is willing to take favors in lieu of rent.

If it weren't for
the safety aspect I'd move into the ghetto for a year but I have to consider my kids ability to be outside - safely. I'm zeroing in on two places in Plainfield, both very near the STBX's place and close to my office. The sheriff's sale is set for Jan 14, 2008. The Bk attorney says that it doesn't matter because once we file (hopefully this week) then that will get set aside and nothing will happen for 3 months or so. If that's the case then maybe I'll wait till spring. I just want out of this sad old house that I'm in.

Anyway, 20 minutes
'til the Colts game. Gotta get home and take a shower before then. See ya.

Did someone say Pizza?

These were from Monday night.
Yes, that means I took my daughter out to eat two nights in a row. Bad dad! Go sit in the corner. Anyway, we went to Pizza King for pizza for her and Stromboli for me. I cheated on my diet. This place has trains that bring your drinks to you. Circle Face loves it

Funny Soccer Moment

Tonight was the
last soccer night for this 12 week session for Circle Face. Of course they gave out medals, coupons for free ice cream, and a recommendation for the next level. It was also parent participation night. All of us parents were out there playing with our 3 and 4 year olds.

Now the soccer that
these kids are involved in is just basic motor skills, listening, and dribbling (soccer). There was never any competition - every child was on the same team - one team. Until tonight!

The coaches decided
to put yellow jerseys on half the kids and line them up against each other with ONE ball to kick back and forth. The objective was to not let the other side get the ball in your net. HAhaha. About 32 seconds into this scrimmage the first fight broke out, then elbows were flying, then the ball was picked up by one kids who announced "I won", then 3 kids were crying and rolling around on each other, then the kicking started, ....... then the hair pulling started. The coaches quickly called off the scrimmage. Kids ran to their parents. Circle Face tripped the kid that stepped on her hand. Another kid was ripping the yellow pull over off of another kid because she wanted to be yellow. All of this took place - start to finish - in less than 2 minutes. It was a war zone!

It was also one
of the funniest things I've ever seen. All of parents were rolling. It was kinda sad because all but one or two kids were bawling - while all of us parents were LOL at the bench clearing brawl that just happened.

You had to be there!
I so regret not running video tonight. This would have been a YouTube chart burner by this time tomorrow.

Circle face
and I went to see Underdog. This is a good and fun movie for the little ones. Highly recommended.

So here I am
spilling her red pop on my shirt, dropping half the pop corn and losing grip on my diet coke and I said, "let's sit here" - pointing at a seat only a couple steps up. She said no daddy - I want to sit up there in the sky - as she points to to the top of the theater - the back row. Of course.

I just tucked her in bed. It's an hour past bedtime and her mom would be so pissed. Nananana.

Circle face
and I just returned from McD's for breakfast. She bloodied her nose on the slide somehow. I thinks she was trying to go down the slide by crawling head first. She's ok. But the question is:

Who cleans up
inside those tubes? Who crawls up in there and cleans away the bacteria, slobber, germs, boogers, snot, blood, pee, and oh my - that is bound to collect in these kids sized play places?

Circle Face Is An Environmentalist

My 3 year old has decided last week that she can go to the bathroom all by herself. She no longer needs help from mom and dad. A recent conversation with her after I checked up on her:

Me: did you go potty?
Circle Face: yes

Me: good girl, did you wipe really good?
CF: yes daddy

Me: Wash your hands?
CF: yep

Me: Flush?
CF: nope, I do it now

Me: I don't see any toilet paper in there
CF: right there, I roll it back up - you can use it too
