Just found out that I've been divorced for about 45 minutes. Although I've been "single" for a couple years and I've been 'single' since the legal separation last June, I'm now single - without any qualifiers.

Mixed feelings actually.

It never fails... everytime she and I are together someone makes a well intentioned comment that goes something like:

"Ah, such a cutie pie..."
or, "what a heartbreaker..."
etc, etc.

While I'm thankful for the kind words, do you think it would kill 'em to occasionally comment about Circle Face? Sheeeesh ...

Ok finally back in Indy... Still going for that ribeye.....

Since we are over 7 hours delayed - 4hrs spent sitting on the plane ... It seems like cancellation is imminent. I'd prefer the cancellation as my ass needs some decompression time and there is 20oz Ribeye (moo) calling name ....

Of course they will blame the weather and not compensate us ... They'll forget about the mechanical oxygen pressure thing that made us fly back to Dulles in the first place.

The current issue is airspace congestion over DC due to the earlier weather delays. I'm waiting for them to blame the fog next (wink to SFO) ...

Intriguing book... Just started reading it. I'm suspicious though as it seems like a rehash of common sense drenched in New Age mish mash and a dose of Quantum Physics.

I bought 'Spook Country' by William Gibson for this trip.... I read the first handful of chapters and put it in checked bag thinking that I'd spend my time on the plane reading the Journal. As if ...

We taxied out for the second attempt almost 2 hours ago. We are still admiring the runway and the pretty and vibrant colors of all the other planes sitting around us. We are waiting out some storms....but the only water I see is the complimentary water.

Even though we are now delayed 6 hours for my hour and a half flight I'm smiling. Man, if I wasn't in recovery this would be hell and I'd be way drunk by now. Besides, I'd only planned to hang out at the pool this afternoon - which usually causes a bad case of eye strain anyway.

Something wrong, returning to dulles. Hmmmm

I mean it must be over 100F in metro DC. I'm hybernating in a Gaithersburg conference room with the AC maxed out. This trip is a bust... May leave tonight on standby unless I can find something fun to do.

Any locals have a suggestion for a good dinner?

I've experienced many weather emergencies - A Snow Emergency is when they declare it illegal to drive - period. The exception being a health emergency.

They have declared 'level 1' weather emergencies in two local counties prohibiting all travel on all roads beginning at Noon today.

I've never heard of such a thing.
