Hilldawg was supposed
to win convincingly here.... eeecked by with a 1.8% victory. Essentially a tie since delegates are divided proportionately. I'm guessing she concedes next Wednesday if not sooner. As well, in the 2004 Hendricks Co. Primary, the Rep:Dem voting ratio was 80:20. This time it was 36:64. Quite a swing.

Oh yes, and we have NO Democratic office holders in this county.

The Obama Campaign

It's been something
like 40 years since Indiana has had a say in a Presidential Primary. The likely nominee is always decided by now. As most of us are aware - this year is different. We have an insider vs a change agent. Some of you folks on here know that I'm generally center to center-right on my politics so I'm stepping out of my comfort zone here. I'm volunteering to help the Obama Campaign in Indiana. I don't agree with everything he says but his messages of hope and action are encouraging.

I find it very interesting
that Obama came to our High School first to speak in Indiana (see circle face waving at Obama). Why is that interesting? Because our entire county does not have any elected Democrats. Because Presidential Primary candidates never campaign in Indiana (at least not for the last several decades).

Anyway, I like the message.
Change. No PAC money. National Healthcare. Energy Independence. FAIR Trade.

WOW! What a day!

Today was my
first day back to work since Jan 4th. I went into treatment on Jan 9th.

I mean Wow!
Today was the best day of the year for me. I had only one fleeting obsession to use today - and that was on my way to work and then it was smooth sailing all day. Only one obsession so far today is a big deal considering that I normally have breakdowns 13 - 22 times per day (yes I document this stuff in a notepad). This spurt of intrusion free thinking is pleasantly surprising and very much unexpected. My coworkers welcomed me back by buying me lunch at my favorite Mexican greasy spoon. Maybe I stayed away too long? I have my final therapy session on Monday morning. I'm sure the roast will be full throttle from the therapists and my group peers.

My boss welcomed
me back with open arms and a hug! He is manipulative and untrustworthy so I'm not getting too excited about his welcome. He did divulge my medical info to my the office so I didn't have any explaining to do. Of course this was not authorized. So we now have an HR issue that I'm debating whether to pursue or just let it go. I don't know if the drama is worth it.

Although I couldn't do
much due to having all of my accounts locked/disabled I still completed 2 purdy damned good Visio diagrams for one client. I'm not going to let my guard down yet - because my financial and dependency issues can still impact my employment. Probably wont feel too good from that perspective for quite some time yet.

tonight be I'll be posting about "Obama's Visit to Joey's Neighborhood." Seriously, he should travel right down my road tomorrow on his way to Plainfield HS for his campaign stop.

Political Shocker II: Pat Robertson Endorses Rudy

Strange!

Rudy is pro-choice, anti-gun, advocates for gay rights, is pro-stem cell research, believes in global warming, and is pro-immigration. Pat (and the evangelical right) are completely opposite on 100% all of those 'issues'.

I guess opposites do attract.

I still like Rudy but Obama probably still has the edge for me.
